Good news for all you eBike users out there. On April 23, 2009 the Ontario Road Safety Act, Bill 126 received “Royal Assent” status with several amendments within it that will make eBikes a legal part of our roads.

All that’s left is for the Governor General to sign it, which can be at any time before the pilot program expires so keep your eyes open! What this essentially means, is once he signs it eBikes will be part of our roads just like a bicycle.
